Rim Moussa received her Ph.D in Computer Science from University Paris IX Dauphine in 2004. She is currently in sabbatical leave from University of Carthage (ENICar) and invited researcher at Inria Sophia Antipolis Mditerrane (ZENITH team). Her research interests include scalable and distributed computing systems and business intelligence systems.

Titre: Architectural advances in data warehouse systems


Big Data has become a hot topic in the last decade in both industry and research. Both the recognition of the fact that data is of big economic value and the significant achievements in low cost data storage and high performance parallel computing, foster new research directions in business intelligence fondamentals and technologies in order to extract knowledge from massive amounts of data. The talk is on Big Data new challenges and new opportunities. It presents architectural solutions and presenter experiences based on the Lambda Architecture that go beyond the limits of OLAP-like processing models and technologies, and which enable to build large-scale distributed data analytical systems.Talk

Ahmed Moussa

Ahmed Moussa received his MSc degree in Automatic Control from the University of Oujda, Morocco, in 1994, and his PhD in Data analysis and Information Theory from the University of Kenitra, Morocco, in 2001. He worked two years as a post-graduate researcher at the University of Sciences and Technology of Lille in Medical Image Analysis and for three years with the Sanofi-Aventis pharmaceutical research Group. Between 2006 an 2010 he worked as assistant professor in the National School of Applied Sciences in the Abdelmalek Essaadi University of Tangier Morocco. Since 2010 he has been an Associate Professor in Bioinformatics and data analysis, and the head of the Informatics and Complex Systems Master Degree. He is also the Principale Investigator of the Project 'Humain Heridity and Healthin Africa'.His current research interests are in development of pipelines forNGS Data and MS Data analysis, development of new algorithms and tools for selection and target identification related tosome pathologies inAfrica.

Titre: Big Bioinformatique Data: del'acquisition la distribution

Rsum :

La Bioinformatique, comme la plupart des disciplines scientifiques dpendantes des nouvelles technologies, est dans une re o linformation est de plus en plus grande,prsente sous de nombreuses formes et reprsente diffrents niveaux, y compris les niveaux gnomique, transcriptomique, protomique et mtabolomique. Cette avalanche dinformation, notamment gntique, est la consquence des donnes gnres par les centres de squenage grande chelle, des installations d'analyse haut dbit et les laboratoires publics et privs qui produisent de grandes quantits de donnes telles que les squences nuclotidiques et protiques, structures cristallines des protines, des mesures d'expression des gnes, les protines et les interactions gntiques. En Juillet 2008, plus de 18 millions d'articles ont t indexes dans PubMed et plus de 260.000 nouvelles squences nuclotidiques dorganismes avaient t soumises GenBank. Selon les estimations, en 2025 les Big-Data Bioinformatiques vont dpasss certains systmes de gnrations de donnes de masses telques Twiter Youtube notamment aux niveaux stockage et Analyse [1].

Dans ce travail, et conscient par limportance du domaine des Big Data en sciences de la vie, nous allons donner un aperu traant les nouvelles technologies utilises au cours de la dernire dcnie pour la gnration de linformation gntique. Laccent sera mise sur les principales technologies de squenage haut dbit savoir les MicroArrays, les Squenceurs Nouvelles Gnration et les nouveaux Spectrometres de Masse. Nous allons abord les questions relatives aux stockages de ces donnes, aux dveloppments dalgorithmes efficaces de traitement et danalyse de ces donnes, et aussi lintegration des rsultats aux bases de donnes (biocuration) [2]. Plusieurs pipelines danalyse de ces donnes dvlopp sur la plate forme Galaxy seront prsents, mettant laccent ainsi sur lintrt du travail collaboratif qui devrais se mettre en place pour faciliter lutilisation de cesBig Data Bioinformatiques par les chercheurs entre autres, en mdecine, biologie et/oupharmacie
